BRADDOCK, PA – Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Fetterman last week wrapped up a busy swing through central and northeastern Pennsylvania, holding multiple events throughout the Commonwealth to meet with constituents.
Sen. Fetterman on Wednesday visited Penn State University’s Agriculture Progress Days to meet with advocates and speak about agriculture and farming. Sen. Fetterman delivered remarks about his work fighting for rural communities on the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, and making sure the interests of Pennsylvania’s farmers are represented in the upcoming Farm Bill.
On Thursday, Sen. Fetterman toured Heller’s Orchard in Luzerne County. He heard about the farm’s history, learned about its day-to-day operations as a small family-owned orchard, and spoke to the owners about what they want to see from the Senate in the Farm Bill.
Finally, Sen. Fetterman joined Mayor Paige Cognetti and Senator Bob Casey in Scranton for the Mayors Innovation Project’s annual conference. Sen. Fetterman spoke about his four terms as Mayor of Braddock and applauded the important work being done by mayors and local leaders across the country.
